The quotation due this evening. The ledger nobody else has a copy of. Windows says it is corrupt and offers nothing else. ARIA REPAIR pulls out whatever is still readable inside it and writes a new file that opens — on your own machine, without touching the original.
Prefer the Store? Get it from the Microsoft Store — Microsoft-verified, no security warning on install.
The actual application. Every file gets a plain verdict — including the one that opened but came back empty.
That sentence arrives at the worst possible moment, and Windows offers you nothing after it.
A Word file that will not open is not really destroyed. Underneath, a .docx is a container of separate parts — the text, the styles, the fonts, an index that lists them. Damage the index and every reader refuses the file while every word of your document is still sitting inside it, untouched.
That is the commonest way a document “dies”: a copy interrupted, a USB stick pulled out, a full disk, a bad sector. The tail of the file goes, and the tail is where the index lives.
ARIA REPAIR ignores the broken index entirely and walks the file part by part, taking whatever still decodes. It then rebuilds the container around what survived, and mends the pieces that need it so Word or Excel will accept the result.
What it will not do is pretend. If the part holding your text was the part that was destroyed, it says so — in those words — instead of handing you a blank page labelled “repaired”.
Every file gets exactly one of these. The colours and the words are the software's own — this is what you see, not a marketing summary.
The file opens again and everything that was in it is there.
Something inside was broken and has been mended. The file opens and your content is intact.
It opens and your content is there, but some parts could not be saved — usually formatting, fonts or document properties.
The damaged part was the part holding your content. The file opens correctly and there is nothing in it. Keep your original.
That last one is the reason this page exists. A tool that reports it as a successful repair invites you to delete the corrupt original — and that original is the only thing a data-recovery specialist could still work from. We would rather tell you the truth and keep you out of that.
Not against our own code. Real Excel and real Word were asked to open every repaired file, and to read the cells and paragraphs back.
The method, so you can check it.
Twelve Word and Excel files were created by Microsoft Office itself, then damaged six ways that files actually die: truncated at 90% and at 65%, header zeroed, index record smashed, one part corrupted mid-stream, and the index offset pointed at nothing.
Microsoft Office refused all twelve. After repair, Office opened ten of them with their cells and paragraphs readable, and opened the other two empty — which ARIA REPAIR had already said would happen.
Twelve files across two formats is a small, honest sample, and it is the number we publish rather than a rounder one. Your file may do better or worse than these; that is why the trial exists.
And it reads what a file actually is, not what its name claims — a surprising share of “corrupt” files are simply mislabelled, which is the cheapest repair there is.
One computer, one year, and every update in that year — including new file formats as they are added.
| ARIA REPAIR — 1 year | ₹1,999 |
| ARIA REPAIR — 2 years | ₹2,999 ₹1,500 a year |
| ARIA REPAIR — 3 years | ₹3,999 ₹1,333 a year |
Recovery software is usually sold either as a one-off panic purchase at several thousand rupees a file, or as a subscription you forget to cancel. This is a licence for the software, priced below both, and it keeps working offline for the whole year whether or not you need it again.
Every licence covers one computer and works fully offline. Try the free trial first — seven days and three files, no card needed.
No, and no tool can. Data destroyed inside a compressed part of a file is gone — there is nothing left to read. On our published test of twelve genuinely dead Office files, ten opened again with their content, two opened but were empty, and none stayed broken. ARIA REPAIR tells you which of those happened for each file.
Never. Every repair writes a new file beside the original, named “<your file> (repaired)”. The original is opened read-only and is never modified, so nothing is lost by trying.
No. Everything runs on your own Windows computer. A corrupt file is often the only copy of something confidential, and uploading it to a website to be “fixed” is exactly what its owner should not do.
It means the part of the file holding your text or your cells was the part that was destroyed. The repaired file opens correctly and has nothing in it. We report that separately from a real recovery, because being told “repaired” might lead you to delete the corrupt original — and that original is the only thing a specialist could still work from.
Not yet, and we will not claim otherwise. Those formats are on the list, but nothing about them has been tested, so they are not supported and are not priced in. Today it handles Office, OpenDocument, PDF, images, archives and data files.
Yes — Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. It runs as a normal desktop application and needs no account.
A file that will not open is worth one attempt. ARIA REPAIR never changes the original, so trying costs you nothing but the minute it takes.
Try it free for seven days and three files first — no account, no card, nothing uploaded.
