The important part: ARIA software reads your documents on your own computer. Your files are never uploaded to us, never stored by us and never used to train anything. We could not read them if we wanted to.

1. Who we are

AR INFOTECH, trading as ARIA, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Your documents

This deserves its own section because it is the reason many people choose ARIA — every product does its work on your own computer.

Everything an ARIA product does runs on your computer as part of the application — reading a scan, editing or repairing a file, protecting code, or locking a file. It all happens locally, on your machine. No part of your file is transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can disconnect from the internet entirely and the software works exactly the same.

We therefore hold no copy of your documents, keep no history of what you have read, and have nothing to disclose about them to any third party.

3. What we do collect

a. When you start a free trial

  • your name and email address, which you type in;
  • your telephone number, if you choose to give it;
  • a machine fingerprint (see below);
  • your computer's name, to help you recognise the device later.

b. When you buy or activate a licence

  • your name, email address and, where you give one, your GSTIN for the tax invoice;
  • your licence key and the machine fingerprint it is bound to;
  • the date and IP address of activation, kept as a record against licence abuse;
  • a record of the payment — its identifier, amount and status. We never receive or store your card number.

c. The machine fingerprint

To enforce "one licence, one computer" the software creates a fingerprint from your hardware identifiers and reduces it, one way, to a short code such as A1B2-C3D4-E5F6-7890. Only that code is sent to us. It cannot be reversed to recover the underlying identifiers, and it tells us nothing about your files, your other software or how you use your computer.

d. When you email us

We keep the correspondence so we have the history of your issue. Please do not send us confidential client documents — we do not need them in order to help.

4. Why we hold it, and on what basis

PurposeLawful basis
Issuing and validating your licence Performance of our contract with you
Taking payment and issuing invoices Contract, and legal obligation for tax records
Answering your support messages Contract, and our legitimate interest in supporting customers
Preventing licence sharing and fraud Our legitimate interest in protecting the business
Telling you your licence is about to expire Our legitimate interest, and your interest in not being cut off

We do not send marketing email. If we ever start, it will be with your explicit consent and with an unsubscribe link on every message.

5. Who else sees it

  • Razorpay processes payments and holds the payment data necessary to do so, under its own privacy policy.
  • Hostinger hosts this website and our licence server, on servers we control.
  • Government authorities, where we are legally required to disclose something.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. There is no third-party analytics or advertising script on this website.

6. Cookies

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. If you sign in to the account page, a single sign-in token is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; it is removed when you sign out. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which will see your IP address as part of serving them.

7. How long we keep it

Licence and activation records While the licence is live, then 3 years
Payment and invoice records 8 years, as Indian tax law requires
Support correspondence3 years
Sign-in tokens for the account page 30 days, or until you sign out

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for tax or licence-enforcement reasons;
  • provide your data in a portable form;
  • stop processing that relies on our legitimate interests.

Ask through the contact form. We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first — usually by writing from the address the licence is registered to.

9. Security

The licence server accepts connections only over HTTPS, runs as an isolated service with restricted permissions, and is not directly reachable from the internet except through a reverse proxy. Licences are signed with an Ed25519 key whose private half never leaves our server. Payment webhooks are verified cryptographically before anything is acted on.

10. Children

This software is sold to businesses and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced by email to licence holders.

12. Complaints

Please raise anything with us first through the contact form — we would much rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.
